Why we’re watching it

  • It adds self-driving to a seated mobility device: pick a destination and it goes there, and the joystick stays available.
  • A hands-on at IFA by NewGadgets for WinFuture found it easy to control and smooth on the ground, with a useful seat lift. Everyday reliability could not be judged there.
  • The maker has published more than most at this stage: a retail price, a shipping policy for the EU and a one-year warranty.

What bothers us

  • It does not exist as a product you can buy yet. A Kickstarter campaign carries the usual risk that dates slip or delivery fails, and the January 2027 and Q2 2027 dates are only plans.
  • Top speed, weight, payload and slope limits are not published, and neither is any EU approval or road-use status. The maker says top speed may be limited by local regulations. It is not a medical device and is not designed for blind or visually impaired users. The maker's product page calls it assisted navigation and says operation requires visual attention and active control.
  • No EU dealer or service network is named. The warranty page lists only a Singapore address and an email address, and the maker's claims on range, safety and on-device data processing have not been tested independently.
