Why it’s in

  • Unlike a timer-driven ball machine, it knows where you stand through a wristband and adjusts placement, with AI rally and match modes and voice control.
  • Light and quick to set up for a ball machine: the 8.8 kg main unit rolls like a suitcase, and Gadgets & Wearables rated it 8.5 of 10 in an August 2026 test.
  • Sold directly on both sides of the Atlantic, with an EU store in euros and a camera upgrade path (AI Vision Module) instead of a new machine.

What bothers us

  • It is a stationary feeder: it does not collect balls or move by itself, so its robotics lie in the sensing and the AI modes.
  • LUMISTAR’s own pages disagree on drill and mode counts, and the Gadgets & Wearables tester saw failed firmware updates and weaker spin than hoped.
  • A young Chinese start-up (about US$10 million raised by September 2026) with no EU dealer found; the store pages we checked state neither VAT nor a warranty period.
