How Antarum earns money

Overview

The third generation of the school robot designed at EPFL: a small wheeled robot that reacts to obstacles, lines, colours, sound and touch on its own. It can be coded from visual blocks up to MicroPython.

Why it’s in

It behaves on its own out of the box: ten built-in modes explore, avoid obstacles, follow lines or react to sound before any code is written.
Designed by EPFL researchers with the design school ECAL and made by the non-profit Mobsya; the new model keeps Thymio 2 mats, LEGO studs and charging cases usable.
It fixes Thymio 2’s weak points: built-in Bluetooth instead of a USB dongle, a gyro for precise movement, full RGB colour sensing and MicroPython.

No public price yet, and it is sold only through local resellers.
Brand-new hardware shipping from September 2026 in first-come, first-served batches, so early stock may be short.
No camera is listed; the AI Learner mode introduces AI concepts rather than machine vision.
