Which one?

Unitree G1

Choose the G1 if you want a compact humanoid you can order today: 1.32 m, about 35 kg, folds to 0.69 m, with a depth camera and 3D LiDAR. Research needs the EDU version.

Unitree H2

Choose the H2 if you need an adult-size robot with more strength: 1.82 m, 31 degrees of freedom, 360 N·m leg joints, about 7 kg rated arm payload and about 3 hours per battery. It is a pre-order with phased deliveries, and the EU price is far above the US list price.

Unitree G1: Why it’s on our list

  • One of the few full-size humanoids with a public price that you can order today.
  • The EDU version opens the SDK, up to 43 degrees of freedom and dexterous hands: a research platform.
  • Folds to 69 cm and uses a quick-release battery.

Unitree H2: Why it’s on our list

  • One of very few adult-size (1.8 m) humanoids with a public list price
  • About 3 h runtime and 360 N·m leg joints
  • Official EU distribution via RobotShop EU

Unitree G1: What bothers us

  • No SDK on G1 and G1 Pro. Development needs the EDU version, priced on request.
  • Short runtime (about 2 hours) and low arm payload (2–3 kg).
  • Security researchers disclosed root-level exploits (September 2025, August 2026). Ask about the current firmware before buying.

Unitree H2: What bothers us

  • Not shipping broadly yet: pre-order with phased deliveries
  • Base version allows no secondary development; the EDU ships with cosmetic hands, functional hands cost extra
  • EU price incl. VAT (€48,400 Basic) is far above the USD list price
  • Other Unitree models (Go2, G1, H1, B2) had a root-level Bluetooth exploit disclosed in September 2025; ask about H2 firmware security before buying.

Short answers

How much more does the H2 cost than the G1?

In Unitree’s official US store, the G1 costs from $13,500 and the H2 from $29,900, both without tax, duties and shipping. In Europe: G1 from about €11,980 (converted from US dollars), H2 from €48,400 incl. VAT as a pre-order at RobotShop EU, Unitree’s authorized EU distributor.

What is the main difference?

Size and strength. The H2 is 1.82 m tall and weighs about 70 kg, with 360 N·m leg joints and an arm payload of about 7 kg rated, 15 kg peak. The G1 is 1.32 m tall, weighs about 35 kg and carries about 2 kg per arm (EDU about 3 kg).

Which one runs longer on a charge?

The H2: about 3 hours on its 0.972 kWh battery. The G1 runs about 2 hours on its 9,000 mAh quick-release battery.

Can I order both today?

The G1, yes: RobotShop sells it in the EU and the US, while Unitree’s own web shop has it out of stock for now. The H2 is a pre-order with authorized distributors and phased deliveries; Unitree’s own store showed it as not orderable when we last checked.

Can I rent a Unitree G1 or H2 for an event?

Yes, both in Germany: Antarum passes your request on to rental partners, and the robot comes with an operator. The H2 comes from a rental company near Munich, with travel extra. For the G1, our partners also cover Switzerland, the UK, the UAE and the US. You book and pay directly with the rental company.
